These days, running is my life...Cross Country season is going great other than dealing with a probable stress fracture. I'm just trying to hold on and finish out the season and then figure out what's up with my leg and get it healed before track season. But so far I've placed 22nd at Cozad, 3rd at Imperial, 11th at Broken Bow, 6th at our home meet, 11th at Ogallala, 14th at Minden, and 9th at Oberlin. My best time thus far is 16:39..I hope to get that to more around the 16:00 mark by the end of the season. I ran my first 2-mile race ever in Oberlin and finished with a 12:54, so the top 10 list for track season looks doable. Our girls team also brought home a 1st place finish at the Imperial meet...which according to Suggs is a first in the 6 years he's been coaching XC. I love my coach and my teammates, and thank God for running because some days it's the only thing that keeps me sane.
